surprising Overall Score: 4.5
It was very surprising that there was a nice hotel in such a bad area.... when i first checked in i was not greeted with a smile or anything. the desk clerk stayed seated the whole time and then looked at me funny when i couldnt find my credit card. its almost as if she were rushing me! when i got the room it was great... no one had never slept in it before so i was sooo happy to have a fresh bed. i called down to set a wake up call and the service was alot better i spoke with a young lady that was so sweet. i woke up expecting a great continental breakfast and it was terrible! TERRIBLE... they didnt have cartons of milk just a jug of milk that God only knows how long it had been sitting out. i am used to the milk being cold and the milk wasnt! it was only 2 flavors of cereal and it was in an open container... not the little boxes that i would prefer knowing that i have a thing about sanitation. the bagels were old and there was only one type of bread. i just felt like it should have been more varieties of food instead of a low budget meal.. i just paid 79.99 to stay in this hotel and i get a terrible morning. the coffee was good though! i just feel that they should always be prepared for all types of guest. what if i were on a no carbs diet... no fruit was out! no boiled eggs... and everything seemed to be running out faster than i could get to it! the man at the desk was too busy to even pay attention to what was missing and what wastn... it looks to me that they need to also hire some people to work! sorry i was venting... the hotel overall is nice but for the breakfast just walk next door to the neighboring hotels. my family was staying there and they had a wonderful breakfast... i think it was the Marriott!
